Beef Loving Texans Website Now Offers Personalized Experience and Producer-Focused Content | New

AUSTIN, Texas (June 8, 2022) – The Texas Beef Council (TBC) has updated BeefLovingTexans.com with stories, recipes, cooking tips and more information about how producers raise beef sustainably, from pasture to plate.

“In the five years since BeefLovingTexans.com was last updated, the design of the recipe site has changed and evolved,” said Rachel Chou, director of consumer marketing for TBC. “We wanted to give visitors a better, more personalized experience while optimizing screen real estate and loading times. User data also indicated that we needed a more mobile-friendly design for online viewing. on the go, like when people are at the grocery store and need recipes for a particular cut of beef.

BeefLovingTexans.com visitors can now create their own user account to find meal inspirations and receive, rate and save personalized recipes. The expanded nutrition section offers insight into different cuts of beef and their unique nutrient profiles, while additional information on proper cooking methods helps visitors choose the best cuts of beef for a flavorful dining experience. Beef enthusiasts can also shop Beef Loving Texans branded merchandise including apparel, cutting boards, tumblers and more.

“Users who create an account and list their interests will receive content relevant to them on every visit,” Chou said. “We’ve also integrated ‘popular’ and ‘featured’ recipe features to ensure our most viewed content is served on every visit.”

The new “Raising Beef” section of the website provides new content about local ranching families – including TBC’s board directors – and their efforts to provide consumers with delicious, high-quality beef. This section also explores the life cycle of beef, best practices in animal care, the Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) program, and the role of beef in a healthy and sustainable diet.

“BeefLovingTexans.com is one of the primary ways we reach consumers with positive messages about beef,” Chou said. “In 2021, 1.4 million people visited the website, and we expect that number to continue to grow. That’s why it’s so important that we provide the best possible user experience, revenue and from nutritional information to the many ways Texas producers take such care in raising quality beef.
