Italy’s ITMA 2023 space application responses exceed expectations

Over 93% of the exhibition space was sold out at ITMA 2023, the 19and showcase of the world’s largest textile and apparel technology exhibition. A total of 1,364 applicants from 42 countries have booked over 111,000 square meters of net exhibition space. The exhibition attracted reactions from manufacturers of textile and clothing technologies.

ITMA 2023 will be held at Fiera Milano Rho, Milan, from June 8-14, 2023. The profile of the exhibition has been expanded to include a chapter dedicated to textile reinforcement structures for composites, said the European Machinery Manufacturers Committee textiles (CEMATEX) in a press release.

CEMATEX candidates have reserved more than 65% of the space. The three countries with the highest number of applicants are Italy, Germany and Spain. From the rest of the world, the main countries are China, Turkey and India. The main sectors based on the number of applicants are finishing, spinning, weaving, printing, knitting, winding and nonwovens, the statement added.

With sustainability and circularity being priorities for many textile and apparel manufacturers, the recycling sector has attracted a lot of interest.
