ITMA 2023 space application response exceeded expectations with more than 93% of space reserved

BRUSSELS – March 17, 2022 – ITMA 2023, the 19th showcase of the world’s largest textile and apparel technology trade show, is set to take over 12 halls of the Fiera Milano Rho exhibition complex.

According to CEMATEX (Committee of European Textile Machinery Manufacturers), the owner of the ITMA show, the show has been enthusiastically received by leading textile and garment technology manufacturers.

Over 93% of the exhibition space has been sold out by the application deadline of March 15, 2022. A total of 1,364 applicants from 42 countries have reserved over 111,000 square meters of net exhibition space.

CEMATEX candidates have reserved more than 65% of the space. The three countries with the highest number of applicants are Italy, Germany and Spain. From the rest of the world, the main countries are China, Turkey and India. The main sectors according to the number of applicants are finishing, spinning, weaving, printing, knitting, winding and nonwovens.

With sustainability and circularity being priorities for many textile and apparel manufacturers, the recycling sector has attracted a lot of interest. Recover Textile Systems applies for the first time to ITMA.
