SDNY COURTHOUSE, March 15 –
Victoriano Tavarez, a self-proclaimed blind person, sued Bella + Canvas under the Americans with Disabilities Act for having an inaccessible website.
On March 15, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, Judge Stewart D. Aaron, held a hearing. Inner City Press has it covered.
The plaintiff says he wanted to buy salon clothes. Judge Aaron said amended pleadings were due April 11, responses by May 11. The trial is scheduled for November 30.
The case is Tavarez v. Bella + Canvas, LLC, 21-cv-9877 (Carter/Aaron)
