Manager shot dead at Southwest Houston men’s clothing store

A manager of a City Gear men’s clothing store was shot dead after confronting two men who were trying to steal items from the store on Saturday night.

The incident happened at the store’s location in southwest Houston at 11092 Fondren.

At around 7:30 p.m., two male suspects entered the business, searched for several minutes and then attempted to exit without paying for the merchandise, according to the police report. The manager confronted the suspects and then asked them to leave the store.

As the two suspects walked to their vehicle, they continued to argue with the store manager. One of the suspects pulled out a gun and shot the manager several times.

The suspects then fled. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the director dead.
