Walmart pulls controversial ‘Impeach 45’ clothing from website after harsh comments

Walmart has removed the controversial anti-Trump ‘Impeach 45’ apparel from its website after receiving harsh comments online.

The outcry sparked a #BoycottWalmart trend on Twitter as users expressed disgust with the channel promoting the impeachment of President Trump, echoing some congressional Democrats.

Ryan Fournier, president of the Students for Trump group, was one of the first to discover that Walmart was selling the garment, according to the International Business Times. He asked the company in a tweet: “What kind of message are you trying to send?”

“These items were sold by third-party sellers in our open marketplace and were not offered directly by Walmart. We are removing these types of items pending a review of our marketplace policies,” a door-to-door user said. Walmart’s word to Fox News.

One user accused Walmart of joining the “far left”.

“I didn’t want to believe it. So I searched myself,” another user wrote. “It is despicable. All American Walmarts? I’m (sic) out!!! »

Old Glory is the company that sold the “Impeach 45” clothing and it was not the only one. A quick search of revealed three other companies selling Trump impeachment products.

A search for “Make America Great Again” clothing also yielded numerous hats, t-shirts and coffee mugs.

This isn’t the first time Walmart has caused a stir.

The store came under fire in November after a shirt design that read “Rope. Tree. Journalist. SOME ASSEMBLY REQUIRED” was listed on its website through an outside company.

Teespring pulled its shirts from Walmart’s website a few days later.
